REGISTRATION FOR BURLINGTON-PBA KIDDIES’ SUMMER BASKETBALL CLINIC ON

The Philippine Basketball Association, in partnership with Burlington, will hold its annual kiddies’ summer basketball clinics starting March 20 (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.) at Ali Mall.

Supervised by coach Norman Black, the clinic will have seven sessions and is open to kids aged 6-12 years old.

WALKOUTS NOW MORE COSTLY

During the PBA Board of Governors regular meeting Tuesday, a decision was made with finality to toughen the rules and penalties on walkouts from games.  It’s a sanction that would certainly deter any team from coming up with such a form of protest in the future.

A student from University of the Philippines-Diliman, Josiah Israel Albelda, was unanimously chosen by a three-man panel as winner of the 2010 Phoenix Fuel-PBA Press Corps Sports Writing Contest at the Araneta Coliseum.

PBAPC SPORTS WRITING CONTEST LISTUP ON

Registration for the annual PBA Press Corps Sports Writing Contest is now open to all bona fide college students in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

The competition, backed by the PBA Commissioner’s Office, is set during the semifinal round of the ongoing KFC PBA Philippine Cup next month.

INSIGHTS ON LIFE IN THE PBA IN PLAYERS ORIENTATION

PBA commissioner Sonny Barrios will spell out to rookies, sophomores and juniors Tuesday, among others, the league’s norms of conduct during the annual Players Orientation session at Ali Mall Cinema 4.

Presented by Coca-Cola, the event will also have as resource speakers former Shell team manager and governor Bobby Kanapi, Araneta Center’s Sienna Olaso, and Sabrina Ildefonso, wife of San Miguel Beer center Danny Ildefonso.
