Blackwater has reactivated Tristan Perez to take the spot of Mac Belo who is flying with the Gilas cadet team Friday to Kuala Lumpur for the Southeast Asian Games.
Belo has been put in the unrestricted free agent list but can’t be signed up by any team as per the league’s agreement with regards Gilas cadet players.
Same is the current status of Russell Escoto, put by Kia on the unrestricted free agent list while still recuperating from injury.
Belo is not in the official 12-man Gilas roster for the SEA Games basketball competition that fires off Sunday.
The Gilas management, however, is looking to insert his name in lieu of Carl Bryan Cruz during the team manager’s meeting Saturday.

“If the organizers allow it, then Mac Belo will play in the SEA Games,” said Gilas coach Jong Uichico.
“He’s actually eyed to play in the FIBA Asia Cup, but he got injured and thus was replaced by Carl Bryan Cruz,” Uichico also said.
With Belo in Kuala Lumpur, Perez suits up with the Elite until the return of the Gilas cadet forward.
