Batangas-EAC aims to stretch its winning run to three games when the Generals face off against Centro Escolar University in the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
One of the biggest surprise of the second conference, the Generals are looking to make their case for the top four when they return to action at 11 a.m.
Even coach Oliver Bunyi admitted that his side exceeded his expectations even after pulling off an 87-85 upset shocker over erstwhile leader Go for Gold last week.
But he knows that the win, which levelled Batangas-EAC's standing to 3-3, only served notice to the higher-rung teams to take his side seriously.
"It's really hard to say what more we could do since yung iba sa taas namin, malalakas na team. I'm quite sure na maga-adjust din yang mga yan sa amin," he said.
Michael Mabulac has been a big addition for the Generals as he presents a perfect dance partner for playmaker Cedric de Joya and shooter Clark Bautista.
And they would be happy to repeat over the Scorpions this time out after taking the 96-90 squeaker last June 11.
CEU, meanwhile, would like to pick itself up after suffering a 105-80 humiliation at the hands of Che'Lu Bar and Grill last week.
Orlan Wamar, Rich Guinitaran, and Gilles Oloume are all counted on to perform better for the Scorpions.
