Che'Lu Bar and Grill collides with new-look CEU

Che'Lu Bar and Grill seeks to atone for its runner-up finish last conference by winning it all this 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup, and it all starts against Centro Escolar University on Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Revellers are hell-bent on winning it all this time after narrowly losing to Zark's Burger-Lyceum in the Aspirants' Cup Finals.

Coach Stevenson Tiu is hoping that it would exactly be the case for them this second conference.

"Mas handa siguro kami ngayon," he said.

Jeff Viernes returns to the fold for Che'Lu in the 1 p.m. game, as Chris Bitoon and Jordan Sta. Ana joins him in this quest.

Definitely it won't be easy. The Revellers will face a new-look Scorpions crew, who will have veteran mentor Derrick Pumaren calling the shots.

Though trotting out a young team, CEU is hungry to perform better than how it did last conference when it failed to make it to the semi-finals for the first time since 2014.

Cameroonian Gilles Oloume will be brought to the spotlight in the tiff as he aims to match the leadership and contribution of Rod Ebondo.

He will also be partnering with veterans Orlan Wamar and Rich Guinitaran in this campaign.
