CIGNAL-ATENEO made shortwork of AMA Online Education in a 111-81 bounce back win in the 2019 PBA D-League on Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
It was a feel good win for Cignal-Ateneo, which suffered a 112-98 loss to UST last week.
Ange Kouame unfurled 22 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocks in his return after missing last game while Thirdy Ravena recorded 14 points, eight assists, and four rebounds in three quarters of action.
BJ Andrade also added 21 points on a 6-of-13 three-point shooting, William Navarro had 14 points, nine boards, and five assists, and Mike Nieto tallied double-double with his 10 points and 12 rebounds for Cignal-Ateneo.
Cignal-Ateneo got off to a 9-0 start and led 27-9 at the end of the first period.
It was a cruise from there for the Blue Eagles, who extended the lead to as much as 33 points in the second half thanks to their 16-of-43 clip from downtown.
"I just feel like we were a little bit disprestecful to ourselves, to our opponents, and to the game, but more to ourselves the last time out. We have to come out and do your best every game and today, we were much better," said coach Tab Baldwin.
The Blue Eagles improved to 3-1 in the Aspirants Group while sending the Titans to their third straight defeat and a 1-3 record.
Joshua Munzon topped AMA with 41 points, nine rebounds, and two assists, and Franky Johnson added 22 points and seven boards.
