Marinerong Pilipino eyes bounce back win against winless Trinity U of Asia

STRUGGLING teams Marinerong Pilipino and The Masterpiece Clothing-Trinity University of Asia take center stage on Monday as they both eye to end their skid at each other's expense in the 2019 PBA D-League at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

The two teams collide at 2 p.m. in this Foundation Group clash.

The Skippers are coming off a tough 88-78 defeat to Wangs Basketball and coach Yong Garcia is looking to better integrate his players to the system.

Kib Montalbo is confident that he'll get the hang of playing with top recruits Santi Santillan and Anton Asistio, while also playing good music with Orlan Wamar and Felix Apreku.

"Araw-araw lang na practice to familiarize myself with the guys and hopefully, we'll have our chemistry going in the next games. We'll get there," the former La Salle playmaker said as Marinerong Pilipino aims to climb from its even 2-2 record.

The Masterpiece-Trinity, meanwhile, is still looking for a breakthrough win after dropping its first three assignments, the latest being a 106-81 defeat to Chadao-FEU.

Bobby Balucanag scored 31 the last last game, but would need more support from the rest of the team to gove coach Alvin Grey his first W in the PBA D-League.
