Santi Santillan scored 29 points and Marinerong Pilipino pulled away for 91-72 win over CD14 Designs-Trinity University of Asia Monday in the 2019 PBA D-League at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
Santillan poured13 of his points in the third quarter as the Skippers broke the game wide open. He also hauled down 10 rebounds.
His offensive onslaught enabled the White Stallions to stretch a 37-31 halftime lead to a comfortable 64-48 cushion entering the payoff period.
Orlan Wamar chipped in 10 points on a 3-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc and Anton Asistio added nine points and three assists for Marinero.
"Ang sinasabi ko na lang sa kanila palagi, kailangan naming ibigay ang best effort sa practice. Doon kami mabubuo as a team lalo na at akyat-baba ang laro ng players namin. Buti naman ngayon, lumabas ang resulta," said coach Yong Garcia.

AJ Vitug paced the White Stallions with 18 points and three rebounds, while Chris De Chavez got 15 points, eight boards, and four assists in his debut.
