Valencia-SSCR keeps hopes on Foundation Group top seed

VALENCIA City Bukidnon-SSCR looks to head into the 2019 PBA D-League playoffs scorching hot when it battles Diliman College-Gerry's Grill Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Riding a four-game win streak, the Golden Harvest already locked up a top two spot in the Foundation Group but can even move up to the top seed with a win and a CEU loss to FEU earlier in the day.

But coach Egay Macaraya isn't stressing himself of the possibilities, with his lone goal to sustain his side's groove heading into the postseason.

"Ang focus namin is one game at a time. May opportunity sa top spot at na-motivate ang mga bata, so why not?," he said after his team's 105-82 drubbing of CD14 Designs-Trinity last week.

RK Ilagan and Allyn Bulanadi will banner Valencia-SSCR in the 4 p.m. game.

The Blue Dragons, however, are just out to play the spoiler role with coach Rensy Bajar eyeing to end this D-League run with a win.

Diliman-Gerry's has already overachieved with its 4-4 record, and it won't hurt if they nab win no. 5 behind the leadership of Joseph Brutas and Beninese big man Kevin Gandjeto.
