FUELED by their tremendous energy and aggressiveness, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters pummeled the San Miguel Beermen in the fourth quarter for a 107-93 win in the PBA Commissioner's Cup at the Filoil EcoOil Arena in San Juan City Tuesday night.
The E-Painters seized control, 88-78, on an 18-6 start in the payoff period and got going en route to a second straight victory following a 99-81 drubbing of Eastern in their previous outing.
Young guns Adrian Nocum, Felix Lemetti, Caelan Tiongson and Jhonard Clarito led their searing fourth-quarter charge sending the Beermen to a second loss in a row after a 104-99 defeat at the hands of the NLEX Road Warriors.
Rain or Shine improved to 2-1 while going 2-0 with import Deon Thompson. San Miguel, on the other hand, dropped to 1-2.
Overall, it's a total team effort for the E-Painters with six of them scoring in double figures and two adding nine and eight.

The ROS import was on the bench as Nocum, Clarito and Lemetti lit up what became a 37-21 fourth-quarter assault.
Thompson finished with 18, Nocum with 15, Tiongson with 14, Lemetti and Datu with 12 apiece and Clarito with 10.
June Mar Fajardo led all scorers with 20 as SMB import Quincy Miller submitted 12 point and 10 rebounds in what could well be his last game in the tourney.
San Miguel has flown in Torren Jones for the mid-season conference and to serve as Miller's partner in the EASL.(SB)
