Fajardo topbills list of nominees in 2017 Leo Awards

Twenty-nine years after Ramon Fernandez bagged the last of his four MVP plums and 20 years after Alvin Patrimonio completed his own quadruple MVP feat, they may have a company in an elite list of four-time MVP winners in June Mar Fajardo.

The San Miguel Beer behemoth is the outstanding favorite to be the biggest winner in the 2017 PBA Leo Awards set before Game Four of the PBA Governors Cup Finale at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Friday.

Fajardo looks cinch to extend his MVP reign to fourth straight year after ending up as the runaway winner of the stats race.

With his whopping stats total in the season and his Philippine Cup Best Player of the Conference plum, Fajardo is the leading pick for the Leo Awards top plum versus teammates Chris Ross and Alex Cabagnot.

As the three MVP contenders, Fajardo, Ross and Cabagnot are also top choices for the Mythical First Team.
