COACH Yeng Guiao and his NLEX Road Warriors took their COVID-19 test on Thursday at the NLEX Balintawak Compound in Caloocan City.
The procedure is part of the protocol laid by the PBA Commissioner's office and approved by the league's Board of Governors as Asia's first play-for-pay league looks forward to return from the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown.
According to a NLEX team official, Big Boss Manny V. Pangilinan has instructed all teams under the MVP Group - Meralco, NLEX and TNT - to take the COVID-19 test during the teams' 'kamustahan' last May 20.
The Meralco Bolts were the first to oblige, taking the test last Monday. The TNT KaTropa take their turn next week.
"Untested players would not be allowed to participate in the practice," Marcial said. "Testing is a must."
