June Mar Fajardo leads BPC race by a mile

June Mar Fajardo looks set to stretch his record standing as the league's premier player as he leads the race for the Best Player of the Conference award in the 2017-18 PBA Philippine Cup.

With his huge double-double average, the San Miguel Beer behemoth is in the running for a sixth straight all-Filipino BPC plum.

Going to the playoffs, the Cebuano gentle giant is the runaway leader in the stats derby with a whopping average of 44.1 statistical points per game built on 22.8 points, 13.2 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, 1.8 assists and 0.6 steals an outing.

In his continuous dominant ride, Fajardo leads the field in scoring and rebounding, and ranks second to Blackwater's JP Erram (2.9) in blocks.

One-time MVP winner and another San Miguel Beer star Arwind Santos is second to Fajardo in the BPC stats race with 37.6 SPs a game.

Santos norms 16.3 markers and 10.5 boards, Erram logs in 14.2 points and 13.8 rebounds, Thompson puts in similar norms of 11.2 in scoring and rebounding, Calvin Abueva delivers 13.8 markers and 10.4 boards while Kelly Nabong makes 13.5 points and 11.2 caroms.
