GIAN Mamuyac felt at home right away with Rain or Shine where he gets to be reunited with former Ateneo teammates.
The 23-year-old Mamuyac looks at re-connecting with Mike Nieto, Anton Assistio, and fellow rookie Shaun Ildefonso, with whom he played with sometimes in the past while donning the blue-and-white shirt of the Blue Eagles.
The former Ateneo team captain was selected no. 5 by the Elasto Painters during the Season 47 rookie draft at the Robinson's Place Manila on Sunday.
"Excited ako kasi malaking bagay yung may familiar face sa bagong environment mo. Si Mike nandun, and also si Shaun, and si Anton also," said Mamuyac.
The get-together with Ildefonso was sealed after the Elasto Painters picked the 24-year-old son of PBA great Danny Ildefonso as the team's selection at no. 10.

Ildefonso played for Ateneo before transferring to National University for the final year of his collegiate career.
Mamuyac also mentioned Andrei Caracut, who despite playing for rival La Salle, has grown a deep friendship with his Ateneo counterpart in the past.
