Paul Lee says Hotshots peaking at the right time

Paul Lee claimed the Magnolia Hotshots are getting their acts together at the right time after a poor start in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.

The Hotshots racked up their second straight win after blowing past the Columbian Dyip, 109-83, on Wednesday.

"Ah yes, good for us na we're peaking at the right time," Lee said. "Hopefully, 'wag maputol yung streak namin dito. We need to keep working hard."

Wednesday's victory hiked Magnolia's record to 3-4 and pushed the Hotshots up to seventh spot of the team standings -- a big relief for coach Chito Victolero and his wards after starting their campaign with three straight losses.

But Lee was quick to caution his teammates that all their efforts would all go for naught if they will lose against Ginebra in Sunday's Manila Clasico.

"It's gonna be a good battle. Siyempre feeling ko gusto nila bumawi. Lagi ko sinasabi, kailangan lang namin maging ready. Gusto namin na tumaas standing namin, so kailangan ready kami," he said.

"Lagi kami nire-remind na lahat ng panalo namin balewala kung matatalo kami sa Sunday. We need to be ready." (JB)
