PBA family recognizes fans' sentiments for season to finally start

THE entire PBA community deeply feels the sentiments of the fans wanting the 46th season to finally get going.

Barangay Ginebra veteran LA Tenorio, and coaches Chot Reyes of TnT and NLEX's Yeng Guiao were among those who related about fans personally asking them on when the country's top sports entertainment will officially unveil its new season.

The three made known about how league followers have been missing action in the PBA during their Monday dialogue with Commissioner Willie Marcial.

All of them were one in saying that fans have been looking forward at watching the games anew especially with the continuous spike in COVID-19 cases in the country.

"Madami kasing fans and mga tao ang nagsasabi na miss na miss na nila manood ng PBA especially ngayon na kailangan ng libangan ng mga Pilipino," said Tenorio, the Finals MVP of the last Philippine Cup.

"Meron din nagsasabi sa akin na pag nagsimula ang PBA ulit, muling magkakaroon ng pag asa, or hope ang mga tao katulad nang nangyari sa bubble (last year)."

Even the commissioner had his own share of the experience.

"Nangungulit na yung mga fans, nagtatanong kung kailan magsisimula ang PBA. May isa nga tumawag pa sa direct line ko kasi nami-miss niya na raw at nakakatanggal ng mental stress," disclosed the PBA chief during his appearance in the weekly PSA Forum.

"To be honest, ang dami talagang nangungulit na fans para matuloy (ang season)."

"Nasa dugo na nating Pilipino ang basketball."

Marcial will be accompanied by Barangay Ginebra governor Alfrancis Chua during the courtesy call with Senator Bong Go and Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea. (RG)
