IT'S a go for the much-awaited PBA bubble in Clark.
The pro league on Thursday gained provisional approval from the IATF to proceed with its bubble plans in the Pampanga, clearing the way for the eyed Philippine Cup restart on Oct. 11.
"We're happy and we're ready to go," PBA chairman Ricky Vargas of TNT said in an impromptu presscon after getting the go-signal to push through with 5-on-5 scrimmages and the tournament proper inside the bubble.
"It's all now in the hands of Commissioner (Willie Marcial) to see that this is executed to perfection," he added.
Vargas thanked Bases Conversion and Development Corp. chief Vince Dizon, Clark Development Corp. boss Noel Manankil, Games and Amusements Board chairman Baham Mitra and other sports-loving government officials like Senate Committee Sports Chair. Sen. Bong Go and Speaker Alan Cayetano for helping bring this to fruition.

Following the approval, the PBA sets out to send the teams to Clark in two batches on Sept. 28 and 29.
The squads had undergone swab testing Wednesday and Thursday ahead their of departure for Clark. Upon entry, protocols require them to get swabbed again and wait for their results at Quest Hotel.
Upon getting negative results, Marcial said the teams may start doing 5-on-5 scrimmages at the official training and games venue, Angeles University Foundation in nearby Angeles.
Dizon, who made the presentation at the IATF which was presided by IATF co-chairman Sec. Karlo Nograles, in behalf of the pro league, promised a safe environment not only inside Clark but all the way to AUF's locality.(OL)
