Philippine Arena hosts PBA championship game for first time

THE PBA makes another first in its long rich history as it brings the Governors Cup championship series between defending champion Barangay Ginebra and Meralco to the vast Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan beginning with Game 5 on Sunday.

This is the third time that the league will hold a game at the 55,000 capacity playing venue, but this marks the first time a finals series will be held in the world's largest indoor arena.

Tickets for the Sunday's showdown are available at TICKETNET and all SM outlets.

Games 6 and 7, if necessary, will also be held in the same venue and tickets sold also at TICKETNET and all SM outlets.

The Kings will be playing at the Philippine Arena for the third time. The first was during the opener of the league's 40th season three years ago against TnT Katropa and then opposite Manila Classico rival Star Hotshots in last year's feature game on Christmas Day.
