Pogoy listed day-to-day as TNT deals with his sprained ankle

TNT coach Bong Ravena is counting on Roger Pogoy when the Tropang Giga takes on Blackwater in the PBA Philippine Cup on Monday.

Pogoy was`carried out to the bench by his teammates after hurting his ankle a second time on a defensive play in fourth quarter of TNT's 107-88 victory over Terrafirma on Thursday.

TNT team manager Gabby Cui gave no assurance that Pogoy could rejoin the team on Monday as the Tropang Giga try to sustain their winning streak.

"He's still under observation. So far his status is day-to-day," Cui said when asked about Pogoy's injury.

TNT coach Bong Ravena, however, offered a more optimistic observation.

"So far so good. We hope he won't miss any game," Ravena in a text message.

Pogoy scored a career-high 45 points in his bubble debut last Sunday as TNT defeated Alaska, 100-95. The TNT guard averages 28 points a game.

TNT is on top of the standings with a 3-0 record. (PL)
