Potential top picks dominate Gatorade-PBA Draft Combine mini-tournament

Potential first and second round picks in Sunday's 2019 PBA Rookie Draft made a good account of themselves and claim top honors at the end of the two-day Gatorade-PBA Draft Combine at the Hoops Center in Mandaluyong.

The group of Chris Bitoon, Christian Balagasay, Prince Rivero, Embons Bonleon, Roosevelt Adams, John Tambeling, Alvin Capobres, Edgar Charcos and Jason Riley powered the San Miguel to victory over TNT, 87-79, in the finals to emerge champion of the mini tournament.

Members the TNT team are Renzo Subido, Luke Parcero, Gelo Vito, Mike Nieto, Rey Suerte, Simon Camacho, Darryls Singintico and Henry Asuncion.

SMC, coached by Biboy Ravanes and Mon Jose, defeated Blackwater, 94-89, in overtime while TNT, mentored by Yuri Escueta, tops Alaska, 88-75, in the knockout semifinals.

Adams, a 25-year old Fil-American and a probable top pick, was named MVP of the mini-tournament.
