Ravena shows why he is a potential top draft pick

Showing why he's one of the most sought after prospects in the field, Kiefer Ravena immediately stamped his class as he ruled three of the five performance tests in the morning session of the 2017 Gatorade PBA Draft Combine Monday at Gatorade Hoops Center in Shaw.

The two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player didn't waste time as he imposed his dominance in the 43-man strong field to prove that he is a worthy first round prospect.

Ravena outrun the field in the lane agility test as he recorded 10.72 seconds to emerge as the quickest athlete, with Zach Nicholls (11.56 seconds), Jett Manuel (11.62 seconds), Gian Abrigo (11.66 seconds), and Robbie Herndon (11.91 seconds) behind him.

The 23-year-old continued his tear in the maximum vertical leap, jumping 39.5 inches to come out on top. After him were Julian Sargent (39 inches), Jett Manuel (38.5 inches), Lervin Flores (38 inches), and Biboy Enguio and Sidney Onwubere (37.5 inches).

Ravena completed his treble after being named as the fastest sprinter, recording with 2.78 seconds in the 3/4 court sprint. Nicholls (2.81 seconds), Gab Dagangon (2.82 seconds), and Monbert Arong and Jebb Bulawan (2.88 seconds) all made it to the top five.

Nicholls also was the fastest runner in repetitive speed as he clocked in 51.3 seconds in the shuttle run, well ahead of Davon Potts (52.4 seconds), Jebb Bulawan (52.41 seconds), Emil Palma (52.55 seconds), and Felix Apreku (52.66 seconds). (DL)
