THE Philippine Basketball Association awarded the Plaque of Appreciation to GlobalPort franchise team owner, Rep. Mikee Romero (sixth from left) and karateka Jamie Lim (fifth from left) for their selfless dedication, sacrifice and commitment to bring honor and pride to the country in the recent 30th Southeast Asian Games. Romero led the Philippine Polo Team to a bronze medal finish while Lim, daughter of PBA legend Samboy Lim, claimed the kumite gold in the +61 kilogram category. Also present during the brief award ceremony last Friday were (from left to right) Robert Non (San Miguel ), Rene Pardo (Magnolia), Lelen Berberabe, Jamie's mom, PBA chairman Ricky Vargas, PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial, Alfrancis Chua (Ginebra), Bobby Rosales (Columbian), Al Panlilio (Meralco) and Eric Arejola (NorthPort).
