AFTER showcases in PhilSports Arena in Pasig, Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila and Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo, the PBA Commissioner's Cup swings over to Filoil Eco-Oil Centre in San Juan Tuesday featuring titleholder San Miguel Beer and Rain or Shine in the 7:30 p.m. mainer.
It's an interesting match with the Elasto Painters looking for a follow-up to their 99-81 ambush of Eastern on Wednesday and the Beermen eyeing a bounce-back from a 104-99 slip-up versus the NLEX Road Warriors Sunday.
Both sport a 1-1 win-loss card going to their faceoff preceded by the 5 p.m. tiff between Blackwater and Eastern.
Coach Yeng Guiao's troops are in high spirit after gaining the distinction as the team handing Eastern its first defeat in its PBA gig. And it came on Deon Thompson's debut with the Elasto Painters.
Guiao said Thompson's entry changed the team chemistry for the better, and he expects better things in their coming games.

"Mas maganda ang ikot ng bola namin (with Thompson)," said Guiao.
The Elasto Painters were still awaiting Thompson' clearance to play in the country when they dropped their conference debut against the Meralco Bolts, 121-111.
Meanwhile, the Beermen won their first outing against the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters, 107-104, before squandering a 19-point spread in their reversal by the Road Warriors.
June Mar Fajardo and his teammates are off to a sloppy start. And they better shape up, with the E-Painters ready to pounce any opening. (SB)
