Alvin Patrimonio says Magnolia ripe to win another championship

After Magnolia defeated GlobalPort on Friday night, team manager Alvin Patrimonio declared that his team is already ripe to win another title in the PBA.

The four-time MVP made the statement after the Hotshots cruised past GlobalPort, 96-81 to boost their bid for one of the top two spots in the PBA Philippine Cup .
"Tingin ko hinog na ang team para manalo ulit ng championship," said Patrimonio. Matagal na kaming hindi nanalo ng kampeonato. Ang huli ay 2014 pa".

The franchise plays under numerous brand names but is best known by its original name Purefoods.

It has thirteen PBA titles, so far, including a grand slam in 2013-2014.

The Hotshots relied on their tight defense and balance offensive in the second half to turn the game around and coast to their seventh win in 10 games that snapped a two-game losing skid.

Magnolia's last game in the elimination will be against lowly Meralco in Cagayan de Oro City on Feb. 24.

Against the Bolts, coach Chito Victolero is hoping that they will be able to snap their four-game out-of-town losing streak.

" Hopefully mapatid na namin ang losing streak because it's a very important game. We need to win it to solidify our chances for the top two," said Victolero.(Zaldy Perez)
