Beermen not thinking about completing a sweep

COMPLETING a sweep of the PBA Philippine Cup eliminations is not exactly in the agenda of the undefeated San Miguel Beermen.

If it comes, it will come.

If it doesn't, its move on to the next phase.

"We haven't talk about it one time. We're just worried about each game. Game by game," admitted team captain Chris Ross.

"We're just going there, working hard, approach these games the same way. If it comes as a win, it comes."

The Beermen kept their record intact at 9-0 Sunday night behind a 120-103 beating of the NLEX Road Warriors.

Six players finished in double figures for the team led by CJ Perez who had 30 points, while big man June Mar Fajardo came through with a huge double-double of 20 points and 21 rebounds.

The blowout win locked the Beermen as the no. 1 seeded team to the playoffs with a twice-to-beat advantage against the no. 8 ballclub.

They'll round up their campaign with a game against Blackwater on Wednesday and Meralco on Saturday at the Batangas City Coliseum.

Ross said despite what the Beermen have achieved so far, the grind continues for the reigning and defending champions.
