THE PBA will make sure amenities for players won't be lacking inside the league bubble at Clark in Angeles, Pampanga.
The amenities will be of help to lessen boredom and probable mental health issues that may arise in a bubble setting - a first ever in the 45-year history of Asia's first ever play-for-pay league.
The set-up was one of the primary reasons why the PBA got convinced that Clark is the ideal place where it can resume the stalled Philippine Cup.
"Imagine being together for two months doing nothing but stay in the hotel. What's the reason we chose Clark is (because of) the facilities that they can offer," said Board chairman Ricky Vargas.
The NBA, in its own bubble at the vast Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida had players playing golf, tennis, bowling, going on a fishing spree, and even bringing in their own computer gadgets to play games.
While the PBA may not offer the same amenities its American counterpart did, commissioner Willie Marcial assured there would be comfort features players can try during their stay inside the Clark bubble.
"Puwede silang mag-golf, puwedeng mga water sports. Balak din naming maglagay ng screen para puwedeng makapanood sila sa gabi," said Marcial.
"Maglalagay din kami ng bilyaran, table tennis, tsaka kung ano pa ang puwede."
Can playing video games be far behind?
"Oo meron yun lalo at mahilig din yung ibang players natin sa Dota, tsaka iba pang video games," said the commissioner. (RG)
