JACKSON Corpuz has every reason to smile as he begins a new chapter in his PBA career with Magnolia.
After all these years of trying to prove himself in the PBA D-League and elsewhere, the 6-foot-4 banger relishes being wanted for a change.
"Nakaka-excite kasi iba. Talagang pagdating ko pa lang, family ang pagtanggap sa akin," he said with a grin and obviously comfortable where he is now.
The Hotshots acquired Corpuz in an offseason swap in exchange for Aldrech Ramos, giving the Philippine Christian University standout an opportunity to team up with his idol Marc Pingris.
"Dream ko rin talaga na mapunta dito," he said.
Corpuz has wasted no time immersing with his new teammates, talking to Pingris --himself an undersized big -- on how to be more effective on the court.
(RL)
