PBA bats for fans entry in meeting with Pasay City officials

PBA officials and the consultative body of Pasay City led by Atty. Aireen Sison-Madrona and Atty. Peter Pardo held a virtual dialogue on Wednesday with the league seeking the city's support in its effort to bring the crowd back into the games.

PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said the discussion went well and he expressed confidence that the city's consultative body would give the league its nod of approval.

"Pasay City, led by Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano and council, are working hard to help businesses slowly return to normal operations. They told us that allowing the fans entry in the venue will certainly help this cause," Marcial said.

During the meeting, the body asked the PBA to ensure the health and safety of all involved in the games.

The league and the Mall of Asia Arena's (MOA Arena) health, safety and security protocols were discussed as a MOA Arena representative was also invited to join in the discussion.
