PBA sets record at the turnstile in Game 6

Bocaue, Bulacan - A record crowd of 53,642 thronged the Philippine Arena for Game 6 of PBA Governors' Cup championship series between Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Meralco.

Wednesday night's attendance was the most for a PBA game, including the Finals, in the history of the 42-year old league.

The previous high was 52,612 set during the 2014 season opener that featured a game between Ginebra and TNT.

Majority in attendance were Ginebra supporters, who arrived as early as 3 p.m. at the world's biggest indoor arena anticipating a historic title repeat by the Kings.
