Talents are aplenty in the 2017 PBA D-League Rookie Draft

COLD-blooded scorers Alvin Pasaol and Arvin Tolentino headline the new batch of aspirants who are taking their acts in the PBA Developmental League.

The two forwards banner the 201 rookies who have submitted their applications for the 2017 PBA D-League Rookie Draft as they take their first step to reaching their dreams of making it to the pro league.

Pasaol drew attention in the just concluded UAAP season when he scored 49 points in one game for the University of the East. A consistent high scorer, he is considered one of the top offensive weapons in the amateur ranks.

Tolentino, on the other hand, rekindled his old flame and became one of the most reliable shooters for Far Eastern University this past year.

Overall, this year's Draft features an interesting pool of prospects hoping to be picked and see action the upcoming 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup, set to start on January 18.

The forward spot is also well represented, with Javi Gomez de Lia?o and Rob Ricafort of UP, Sean Manganti of Adamson, Jayson David and JM Calma of San Sebastian, and Rence Alcoriza and Michael Ca?ete of Arellano all throwing their names in the Draft.

The guard pool is also no pushover, with RK Ilagan and Renzo Navarro of San Sebastian, Robbie Manalang of Adamson, Hubert Cani, Wendell Comboy, and Joe Trinidad of FEU, Levi dela Cruz of Arellano, Jordan Sta. Ana of UST, Philip Manalang of UE, and Keith Pido of Perpetual joining the list of aspirants.

The 2017 PBA D-League Rookie Draft will be held on December 12 at PBA Cafe in Metrowalk, Pasig.
