THE PBA will have an additional air free tv channel in time for the Commissioner's Cup finals between Magnolia and San Miguel.
RPTV Channel 9 starts to broadcast live the opener of the best-of-seven title series on Friday at 7:30 pm.
RPTV Channel 9 previously aired weekend games of the league when it still carried the brand CNN Philippines.
But during the pre-finals presser on Thursday at Eastwood Richmonde, Cignal Head of Channels and Programming Rissa Guilas announced the new set up for the coming Finals onwards.
"Starting today all PBA games will be broadcast live on our new tv channel platform which is RPTV Channel 9," said the Cignal executive.

The games though, will continue to air live on Pilipinas Live and PBA Rush, and on a delayed basis on A2Z.
"Aside from that we're still airing live on PBA Rush and Pilipinas Live while we have delayed telecast on A2Z," Guilas added.
Commissioner Willie Marcial welcomed the latest development on its television partnership with TV5.
"Maganda yan para sa PBA at mas maganda yan para sa mga fans," said Marcial.
Guilas added the team up with RPTV Channel 9 will extend until the rest of the season.
